With over 20 years of photography experience in weddings, Corey has developed an innate ability to know where to be and when during a wedding. It comes natural to her. She loves people and photographing the most cherished moments of their lives. Her calming presence and creative eye will give you the incredible images that tell the story of your wedding day. She loves details and getting to know each couple she works with. Knowing what is most important to you on your wedding day allows her to deliver images that are the most meaningful to your heart. And most of all she wants you to have fun and enjoy all that this day represents!
THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
It's all about the love for each other and who you are as a couple!
Client's ask Corey, "What is an engagement session? Why do we need one?"
It is a portrait session that combines who you are as an individual and what you love doing together. Are you movie buffs? Do you absolutely love football, hockey, baseball, disk golf, etc? Do you love being outdoors and scouting out hidden gems in nature? Are you into arcade games and paintball? Is there a particular city that is the most meaningful to you? Corey takes the time to customize an engagement session that fits you as a couple. She captures the traditional portrait photos along with the fun, spontaneous, and joyful parts of being in love with one another. Depending on the style of the session, it can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours. The location can be anywhere you choose from here in Western North Carolina to the beaches of Florida, to the night life of New York City, to the lakes and mountains of Colorado. This session is all about you and who you are. Corey suggests to bring two types of clothing, one casual and one date night set to add a little flair to the photo session.
Couples use the images for many things such as save the date cards, creating a guest sign in book with inspirational quotes for the wedding, table markers, wedding decor, slideshows, wedding websites, and more.
THE BRIDAL PORTRAIT

A southern tradition of the bridal portrait is becoming more popular across the States. Brides are choosing to engage in a portrait session of just them in their wedding gown, tailored just for them. A day to simply be GORGEOUS! and feel like a bride!
The bridal session can be in a portrait studio, or as most do today, choose to have an on location session. This is usually at their wedding venue, a gorgeous garden, a scenic setting, an offbeat downtown edgy spot, or a place that is special to them. Nothing is off limits! The images range from traditional poses to the fashion magazine styled portraits. I love to include fun, edgy, creative, and playful images as well! What is a fashion portrait without a little flair, right???
Traditionally a canvas portrait is displayed at the reception and then later in the parents home. Today many brides are opting to create a special album to showcase the entire session. It is a great time for a trial run with hair and makeup as well. And don't forget to connect with your florist for a bouquet for the portrait day.
